Quality of accommodation was good, and restaurant staff were very friendly. Food also good. If you have a boat, do not attempt to get boat close to the chalets. Road is way too narrow. Park boat at designated areas only.

Unfortunately it was a huge disappointment. Definitely not worth the money been paid per night. Minimal kitchen tools and aluminum pots and kettle are poor standard. Aluminum carries health risks. After 4 hours drive you are tired and want to get refreshed. The outside patio have a cement table and chairs - no cushions to sit on. No covering - you sit in the harsh Western sun. The lounge have poor taste furniture to sit. No comfortable chairs to sit and relax in front of the tv. Plastic cane chairs that is bended and a huge dent in the middle on one of the the Chairs area. Not all the channels are available on the DSTV.

I have encountered a lot in the last few years. The horrific level of service providers in the industry. But I must say, I was pleasantly surprised with Magoebaskloof Mountain Lodge. A complete stuff up was made by AirBnB and George did not for one second hesitate to sort out the mix up. On top of that we were able to secure a second unit for friends. We will be booking with them again and again.
